Project Melioration is our involvement in the mentoring and development of schools. Currently we are working with two schools under this project - Gurukul and Daya Sagar School in Malad, Malvani Slum Area located in Mumbai. Our focus is on improving the quality of education in the school as well as its working. We do OD interventions in management style to help the school enhance its working.
This is done by organizing year long motivational seminars and training for the teachers, all conducted through interactive learning methods. Seminars conducted are on various subjects – Child psychology, Teaching skills, etc. by trained faculty. The teachers attending these seminars are encouraged to incorporate the learnings into their individual styles and to share their experiences.
Our Objective through Project Melioration…
- Increasing the morale of the school teachers through seminars.
- Improvement in the quality of education for children.
- Developing confident & motivated teachers who think of the child’s welfare.
- Improved functioning of the school management through open communication.
- Reducing the currently high turnover of teachers / bring about stability..
- Betterment in the overall functioning of the school.
