DISCOVER URJAA is a non-profit organization with a mission to be instrumental in empowering and bringing about developmental change in the lives of children. Our primary work is with underprivileged children living in slum areas.
WHO WE ARE?
“Discover Urjaa” is a Charitable Trust established in 2004. The trust has been formed by the staff of Kamino International Logistics Pvt. Ltd., a multinational company engaged in the logistics business worldwide for the past 38 years.
Apart from their work, the staff of Kamino have a deep desire to reciprocate and give back, a strong need to fulfill their social responsibility. They have been involved in many social welfare ventures even prior to the formation of the trust, but with the formation of the Discover Urjaa Charitable Trust the primary focus became the education of underprivileged children.
The name Discover Urjaa was chosen as we believe that we must ‘discover the urjaa (energy)’ and potential within. Keeping this in mind all the people associated with the trust believe in helping others in exploring their own potential and constantly learning & growing. We believe children are our future and every child has a right to education and to a chance in life. We would like to ignite a spark in as many children whose lives we can touch and empower them to achieve their dreams. We work towards helping them discover their inner potential - the energy within and so the name ‘Discover Urjaa’ which means ‘energy’ took the name of the trust.
Since its inception Discover Urjaa has been instrumental in the development of many children… we still have a long way to go…
